Sherley S. Xavier, PsyD

Dr. Sherley Xavier is a Licensed Psychologist in DC, Maryland and Virginia with over 15 years of clinical experience in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area. Dr. Xavier is also a member of PSYPACT which allows her to practice teletherapy in over 30 states. She received her Masters Degree in Forensic Psychology from Argosy University, Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology, and Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology.

Dr. Xavier’s clinical experience includes providing case management, therapeutic, and assessments in outpatient, in-home, and residential settings. Her clinical assessment experience includes providing comprehensive psychological assessment services for children, adolescents, and adults specific to diagnostic clarification (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Learning Disability, socio-emotional concerns, etc.) and eligibility for special education services (504/IEP). Dr. Xavier’s clinical training is in psychodynamic, cognitive/behavioral, and family systems therapies and her clinical interests lie in the areas of assessment, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, family therapy, forensic psychology, and community psychology.
