Our Policies

Scheduling Appointments

To arrange an appointment, please contact us at 202-529-3117 and leave a confidential voice mail message regarding any of our services. Your call will be returned within 24 hours or the next business day.

Cancellation Policy

Twenty-four hour advance cancellation notice is required. If you have not notified us within 24 hours of your appointment, you will be required to pay the full cost of the treatment as indicated.

Privacy and Confidentiality

The law protects the relationship between a client and a psychotherapist, and information cannot be disclosed without written permission.

Exceptions include:

  • Suspected child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse
  • If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person(s)
  • If a client intends to harm himself or herself

Rates

Please contact our office directly to discuss service rates.

Insurance

Mental health services may be fully or partially covered by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. We accept Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, and CareFirst.

For Howard University students only, we accept United Behavioral Health insurance.

For all other plans, services are provided on an out-of-network basis.

We encourage you to verify your coverage by asking:

  • Do I have mental health benefits?
  • What is my deductible, and has it been met?
  • How many sessions are covered per calendar year?
  • What is my out-of-network coverage?
  • What is the reimbursement per session?
  • Is prior authorization required?

Payments

We only accept Zelle, check, and all major credit cards.
