Alana Parker is a licensed psychology associate in Washington, D.C. She earned a Master of Education degree in School Psychology and Counseling Services at Howard University. Mrs. Parker has an accomplished background as a school psychologist and has partnered with multiple District of Columbia Public Charter Schools over the past seven years to promote student well-being. With a profound commitment to empowering adolescents and young adults, Mrs. Parker utilizes tailored evidence-based assessment tools and therapeutic interventions to support individuals in navigating challenges and maximizing their full potential. She believes in creating inclusive and supportive environments where folks can thrive academically, emotionally, and socially.
In addition to her work in psychology, Alana is also a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT), integrating mindfulness and somatic practices into her therapeutic approach. She recognizes the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit, and often guides individuals in cultivating self-awareness, resilience, and inner balance through yoga and meditation. She believes that these practices serve as powerful tools for self-discovery and healing, enhancing mental health and overall well-being.
