Adriana Cardona, MSPS

Adriana Cardona is currently a Clinical Psychology Doctoral Intern with a Masters of Science in Clinical Psychology. Adriana will earn her Clinical Psychology Doctoral degree by May 2024 from Ponce Health Sciences University in Puerto Rico, as she is currently in her last year of internship and last steps of dissertation. She has a year of experience as a clinical practitioner with children and adolescents, where she assessed students’ cognitive abilities, academic functioning, behavior, and social-emotional functioning, in addition to conducting behavior assessments. She also worked for two years in a hospital-based modality, assessing serious mental health diagnoses as well as offering psychotherapy and behavior modification. Currently, Adriana is based at the MECCA Group, LLC, while practicing school-based services across multiple Public Charter Schools in DC.

. Adriana has specific interests in assessment and evaluation, in addition to working with children and adolescents with emotional and behavior disabilities. Her main area of interest is focused on supporting adolescents’ emotional and behavioral needs to achieve academic success in urban school settings, as well as offer therapeutic support to clients varying from children to adults.
