Myriam Prinston, BS
Occupational TherapistMyriam Prinston is a Board Certified Occupational Therapist with The MECCA Group, LLC, where she began in May 2015. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Howard University. She received her neurodevelopment techniques certification in 2000. She also received her Aging in Place certification in November 2018.
Myriam has worked with school-aged children in the traditional school and in-home setting for many years. She has a wide variety of experiences with learning disabilities, orthopedic injuries, developmental disorders, fine-motor delays, attention deficit disorders and neurological disorders. Myriam also conducts school-based Occupational Therapy assessments and presents findings and recommendations at individualized educational meetings.
Myriam also is well versed in working with the geriatric population in the home setting. She conducts home safety evaluations and makes recommendations for safe mobility within the home. In addition, she provides and facilitates activities to assist the geriatric population to remain independent within their home.
Myriam is an active volunteer with the Girls Scouts of America. She enjoys camping and hiking with the girls. She also enjoys spending time with her two daughters.
