Denise Carballea, MS, CBIS

Denise Carballea is currently a doctoral intern and is. She has years of experience pr pursuing her Psy.D in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Neuropsychology. During her training, she assessed individuals’ cognitive abilities, academic functioning, behavior, and social-emotional functioning, as well as conducted behavior assessments and devised behavior plans. Currently, Mrs. Carballea is based at the MECCA Group, LLC, while practicing school-based services across multiple Public Charter Schools in DC and a General Education Development (GED) program.

Ms. Carballea has specific interests and specialties in assessing and evaluating populations across the lifespan with emotional and behavioral disabilities. Her main area of interest is focused on supporting students’ emotional and behavioral needs to achieve academic success in urban school settings.
