Christopher KowalskiPre-Doctoral Intern
Christopher Kowalski earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with a minor in Education, from Rutgers University -New Brunswick campus. After completing his undergraduate education, Christopher enrolled in the Clinical Psychology Doctoral program at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, Illinois. Christopher earned his Master of Science from The Chicago School in 2019 and is on pace to receive his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School in July of 2022. Christopher has years of experience practicing in hospitals, outpatient clinics, and schools. He has experience working with individuals of all ages but has predominantly worked with teens and young adults across these settings. Christopher is currently completing his Pre-Doctoral Intern The MECCA Group, where he provides school-based mental health and testing services across multiple Public Charter Schools in DC as well as providing therapy services to clients in the clinic.
Mr. Kowalski has specific interests and specialties in assessment and evaluation, in addition to working with adolescents and adults dealing with emotional and behavioral disabilities. His main areas of interest include: supporting students’ emotional and behavioral needs in urban school settings, working with individuals struggling with substance use dependency, and supporting young adults to emerge from low-resourced backgrounds.
