Marcus Patterson, Psy.D. is a Psychology Associate in the District of Columbia practicing under the supervision of Dr. Keisha Mack for psychological assessment and therapy services provided throughThe MECCA Group, LLC.  Dr. Patterson earned his Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University.
He completed his clinical internship at the DC Court Social Services Child Guidance Clinic, where he provided psychological assessment, forensic assessment, and therapeutic services to adolescents within the DC Juvenile Justice System.  As part of his clinical internship, Dr. Patterson also completed rotations in Parent Coordination at the UPO Office of Parent Coordination and Individual and Group Psychotherapy at the Howard University Counseling Service.  

Dr. Patterson has over 7 years of experience providing direct mental health services and enjoys working with diverse and/or traditionally marginalized or underserved populations in a variety of settings.  His professional experience and training includes forensic psychological assessment, school-based psychological and psychoeducational assessment, diagnostic assessment, individual and group psychotherapy (adolescents and adults), community mental health services, and relationship counseling.  Settings include university counseling center, inpatient psychiatric hospital, juvenile forensic, community mental health, and private practice.  Dr. Patterson utilizes an eclectic approach to psychotherapy, using psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, solution focused, and relational techniques in conceptualization and treatment planning.
